Cabrillo Park Café is great. Same family business as their new El Rodeo Restaurant/Bar two doors down. Same great service and food. Nothing better than reliable food and service with a smile !!!

We were looking for a quick lunch after hiking Mission Peak and came across Cabrillo Park Cafe. There were plenty of outdoor/indoor seating at 12:30pm on a weekend and it seemed like the owners were quite friendly with the locals. Definitely a cozy neighborhood brunch joint! I was interested in the potato pancakes, so ordered the primavera pancake breakfast ($17.61) and my boyfriend opted for the garden omelette ($17.61). My entree came with a tiny croissant with cinnamon spread - which was not very impressive and a little dry, but I liked the thought. My boyfriend's plate came with his choice of hash browns and sourdough. We also requested the freshly squeezed OJ ($6.18) and iced coffee ($4.10). I would skip the iced coffee. It's very watered down and tastes like normal drip over ice. Service was okay. They were pretty friendly, but could be a bit slow at times. We weren't in a rush so it didn't impact us. However, if we signaled for assistance, they were quicker to attend to us. The 50% off 2nd entree check-in deal on Yelp is no longer being honored per the owner. I guess he's been trying to get that removed. I thought it was too good a deal anyways. Regardless, he still gave us 15% off, which was nice of him to do. We didn't expect it, so the gesture was much appreciated.

Our first time here. Such great food, great hospitality, and excellent service! Not as crowded or rushed as some of the other breakfast places in Fremont (where it feels like they're just trying to cram as many people in a space as they can). We didn't feel rushed to want to finish and leave. Our server was so friendly and helpful. The place feels like a friendly family run establishment. We can't wait to come back!

It was very popular and crowded which is usually a good sign! The service was very great considering every single table was full. The food was pretty big portion also and I had leftovers. It was very yummy and they have a variety of options to choose from. They also had both breakfast items and the lunch items which was nice to choose from.

TLDR: Local cafe with potato pancakes (latkes)! My wife and I LOVE potato latkes. Not only are they healthier than hash browns, they taste better too. At least it's unusual! It's hard to find them in the supermarket, so it was a total delight to see them served here! My wife ordered the Ham Pancake Breakfast. That's the one that comes with the potato pancake, and half a croissant. I'm not going to make the same mistake I did with a previous review. My wife THINKS the croissant resembles the ones sold at a large bulk warehouse store..... Anyway, it also comes with a delicious cinnamon butter, but we had that on the side, as my wife is allergic to it. The ham breakfast... was not prepared in the way we expected. We thought it would be similar to Peg's Breakfast (in Reno), where they give you a big slice of ham steak and some eggs on the side. Instead, what she got was some kinda scramble, with eggs, cheese and diced ham all mixed together. It wasn't bad tasting, but when the idea doesn't meet reality... well it can be a bit jarring. She didn't recover from it. I had a breakfast burrito. It's my go-to breakfast dish, if they ever have it. I really really liked the way they did it. It was pan seared on both sides, so the outside tortilla was toasted and crunchy. Inside the filling was fluffy and abundant. The one thing i didn't like was the salsa. It seemed to be just Tapatio-like salsa. It was very liquidy and tangy... but I was EXPECTING a more chunky home-made salsa, with fresh herbs. Ahh well... UNlike my wife, I recovered and just ate the burrito without the salsa. The coffee was surprisingly strong. It wasn't "coffee-flavored" water. I think given the fact this is a local hole-in-the-wall, we will forgive some of the shortcuts they used. I saw that the owner really helps run the place... getting food, taking orders. It's good to see a hard-working family make it. I really like the variety and unique things they offered to the breakfast scene. It's too bad it's a bit out of the way for me, or else I would come here more often. But as it's quite a trek, it's doubtful we'll be back. But if you are in the area in the early morning, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Short Story: A cute place for brunch! Long Story: I stopped by here on a rainy Saturday morning in search of a good omelet. I arrived early around 8:30am and it wasn't too crowded. We were quickly seated and given menus. I ordered the Portuguese omelet. It was a bit small but very tasty. The staff there is family run and the food does take a bit of time. There are both booths and tables to sit with high ceilings and lots of windows. Also, the hours on Yelp are a bit off. This place only serves brunch and not dinner. Verdict: I do plan to come back!

I love this little spot for weekend brunch. Unlike other places the wait isn't a couple hours long, and the food is delicious. The service is amazing, very much a family vibe. I love how cozy it is and how the quality and quantity of food is worth the time and money. My kids love the French toast here, and the omelette has amazing fresh ingredients! If only they had Chilaquiles!

I love this place! The staff are so friendly! When people are here it gets pretty lively, especially on weekends. I went on a random Monday morning so the place wasn't packed at all. The food is also bomb. The nachos in the morning really hit the spot for me. The potato pancake is killer -- why I came back a second time! The Hawaiian bbq sandwich was rich and sweet.
